Horizons Program Application for Adult Students

This application should be completed by Hamilton employees, spouses/partners or retirees who wish to matriculate as a bachelor's degree candidate through the Hamilton Horizons Program.

To be considered, applicants must have completed two Hamilton courses, or be enrolled in their second Hamilton course, as a non-degree seeking student. Individuals who have already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher are not eligible for the Horizons program.

Application requirements:

• Horizons Program application below
• Official high school transcripts (if applicable, issued by a school counselor or registrar)
• Official college transcripts, including Hamilton transcripts (if applicable, issued by a registrar)
• Letter of recommendation from a Hamilton faculty member who has taught you in a Hamilton course
• Endorsement from your direct supervisor (if a Hamilton employee)

Official transcripts should be clearly labeled as components of a Horizons application and delivered to:
 
Application Deadlines:

• April 1 (fall applicants)
• November 1 (spring applicants)

If accepted as a degree-seeking student, previous college coursework will be evaluated for transfer credit by the Office of the Registrar on a course-by-course basis.

In order to meet the College’s residence requirement, no more than 16 units can be applied as transfer credit toward a Hamilton degree.
